Norma will never have to face the last enemy death, ever again. In the meantime, her acts of faith live on until she stands up alive and whole in the Paradise.
Isaiah 25:8 "He will swallow up death forever, And the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will wipe away the tears from all faces."

I remember Norma teaching me, or allowing me to sleep thru her class at the old Lake
City HS. She understood my situation and I will never forget her.
She was a real beauty, and still was the last time i saw her at a family reunion.
Ryan was a real gentleman and they stayed together until his death from a freak
accident.
Sail on Norma, the angels are waiting.

Kaye,
Thinking of and praying for you often as you go through this difficult time. May the memories of your mother sustain you. You have demonstrated well how to "honor your parents"!

Norma Chandler Baker as you travel gently to your just reward know that I am here as a friend to stand by Ron and Kay to remind them that Heaven is not just "resting in peace" but it also pure joy.

Jesus turned water into wine at the wedding in Caanan. I think that Jesus loved a good party.

So I will remind them to mourn but also rejoice. Because Norma is resting when she wants to, but is invited to attend the most exclusive party in all creation!

Brian, My mother is raising a glass of wine now with my dad and all of her brothers, sisters and in-laws that went before her. They loved a good party!

"Ms. Norma" was one of the most important persons in my life. I give her a lot of credit for all that I have accomplished in life and she will always be a part of me. I was a very shy kid and lacked self confidence, but she recognized something in me and taught me to never sell myself short on who and what I could be. I had the blessing of being able to tell her this several times over the last few years. Rest in peace, you beautiful human being, and know that I will always carry with me the memory of what you did for me, my siblings, and so many of us who grew up in the rural community of Hebron, SC.

William (that’s what she called you):
Mom was proud of many of her students, especially those who lived up to the potential she saw in them, but I think she may have been proudest of you. She often talked about her visits and correspondence with you, and she was thrilled when you visited her in Columbia. Thank you for your comments—they meant a lot to Kaye and me.
