William Marion Hunt

William Marion Hunt, 43, of Scranton, passed away from his earthly home to his heavenly home on Sunday, September 11th, 2022 at his residence.

Mr. Hunt was born on October 15, 1978, in Dillon County, son of Lois Bartlett Hunt and the late Marion Dwight Hunt. Mr. Hunt was a graduate of Lake City High School and attended Tabernacle in the Wilderness. William was an artist, and loved working with his hands. He was a carpenter and could build new things and restore old wood pieces. Mr. Hunt was a tattoo artist, enjoyed riding his motorcycle, loved animals and fishing. He had the biggest heart and never allowed time to pass between apologies.

Surviving are his sons, Cayden William Hunt, Ethan Tracy Hunt, Brayden William Hunt and Spencer Gage Hunt; mother, Lois Bartlett Hunt; sisters, Melissa Dawn Hall (Paul Nathan) of Crouse, NC and Alice “Michelle” (Matthew) Robinson of Hartsville; 4 nieces, 3 nephews, 2 great nieces and 1 great nephew; number of aunts and uncles.

Mr. Hunt was preceded in death by his father, Marion Dwight Hunt; paternal grandparents, Tracy and Addise Hunt; maternal grandparents, Charles and Sallie Bryant Bartlett; special cousin, called his only brother, Casey Lanier Baxley.

A Celebration of Life will be 3:00 PM, Saturday, September 24, 2022 at Carolina Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow at Matthews Cemetery, Coward.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
