Virginia Elaine Shelnut

Virginia Elaine Shelnut, 79, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at her home in Coward.

Ms. Shelnut was born on September 13, 1942, in Spartanburg, daughter of the late John Pink Shelnut and Virginia Caldwell Shelnut.  Virginia worked as a Food Service Manager for 38 years with Hardees.

She is survived by a daughter, Frankie (Darrell) Phillips of Andrews; sons, Arthur (Nancy) Carraway of Coward; Jeff (Vicki) Carraway of Florence; Michael (Susan) Carraway of Lake City; Mark (Donna) Carraway of Gresham and Keith (Wendy) Carraway of Coward; two brothers and one sister; 19 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.

Ms. Shelnut was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Friday, May 13, 2022 at the Friendfield Pentecostal Holiness Church, Scranton with burial to follow in the Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Thursday, May 12, 2022 at the Church.
