Sylvia Lee O’Cain, 64, wife of William H. “Bill” O’Cain, died Friday morning, November 20, 2020 at McLeod Regional Medical Center after an illness.
Sylvia was born on March 31, 1956 in Florence County, daughter of the late Dwight M. Lee and Barbara Judith Lee. She was a 1974 graduate of J. C. Lynch High School and was a lifetime faithful member of Sand Hill Free Will Baptist Church where she taught children’s Sunday School for over 30 years. She was a legal paralegal for most of her career. She enjoyed life and was always smiling. In her youth she was an avid and skilled roller skater. Sylvia enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and entertaining others; she was known for her sense of humor and outgoing personality. Sylvia was blessed with a unique gift of cheerfulness and every where she went she shared this gift. She was a friend to all who knew her.
Surviving in addition to her husband, Bill, of Florence are her daughter, Trudy L. Williams, and husband, Jeff, of Tyler, Texas and her grandson, Hayden Lee Williams, also of Tyler, Texas; sister, Karen L. Godwin of Lake City, and brothers, Dean (Karen) Lee of Hartsville and Ronnie (Angie) Lee of Coward.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m.-12:30 P.M. Saturday, November 21, 2020 at Carolina Funeral Home with a graveside service to follow at 1:00 p.m. at Matthews Cemetery in Coward.
