Stoney Laverne Parrott

Stoney Laverne Parrott, 55, husband of Melissa Matthews Parrott, died Saturday, February 22, 2020, at his residence in Cades.

Mr. Parrott was born on April 1, 1964 in Charleston, son of Wesley J. Parrott and Elizabeth Yvonne McKnight Stone.  He was a member of Maranatha Pentecostal Holiness Church.  Stoney enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family.

Surviving are his wife, Melissa M. Parrott of Cades; mother, Yvonne M. Stone of Coward; father, Wesley J. Parrott of Coward; children, Katrella (Franklin) Parrott of Belton, Donna Parrott of Coward, Charles Parrott of Turbeville, Wesley Parrott of Coward, Walter (Mariah) Parrott, Cheyenne Parrott and Lizzie Parrott, all of Cades; grandchildren, Devon Jones, Christopher Proveaux, II, Zaelee Parrott, Brandon McCrea and James Tallant; siblings, Terri (Landy) Filyaw, Johnny (Denise) Parrott, Cheral (Brad) Thompson, Erica Stone and Blake Stone; and four step siblings.

Mr. Parrott was preceded in death by his stepfather, Johnnie Stone.

Funeral services will be 3:00 PM, Tuesday, February 25, 2020, at Maranatha Pentecostal Holiness Church, Turbeville, with burial to follow at Pine Dale Cemetery, Turbeville.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 3:00 PM, Tuesday, February 25, 2020, prior to the services at the church.
