Sarah Leigh (Godwin) Nettles

Sarah Leigh Godwin Nettles, 37, wife of Clint Elton Nettles, went to her heavenly home, Friday, November 12, 2021, at McLeod Regional Medical Center, Florence.

Sarah Leigh was born on January 24, 1984, in Florence County. She was a graduate of The Carolina Academy and Florence Darlington Technical College, LPN Program. Sarah Leigh was employed by Kindred Home Health. She was a member of Lake City United Methodist Church and attended Leo Church of God. She had a giving heart and enjoyed caring for others. Sarah Leigh dearly loved her family, especially her children and husband.

Surviving are her husband, Clint Elton Nettles; children, Zachary and Spencer Nettles; mother, Lou Floyd Godwin; father and step-mother, Evans and Daisy Godwin; brother, Dexter (Lindsey) Godwin, Jr.; maternal grandmother, Joyce J. Floyd; sisters-in-law, Priscilla (Joe) Liabastre and Darlene (Derrick) Coker; father-in-law, Elton Nettles; nephew, Tyson Godwin; nieces, Anna Liabastre and Morgan Godwin; and extended family and friends.

Sarah Leigh was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Carroll & Sarah Louise Godwin; maternal grandfather, Mack Floyd; mother-in-law, Alberta Nettles.

Funeral services will be 3:00 PM, Thursday, November 18, 2021, at Lake City United Methodist Church, with burial to follow at Lake City Cemetery.

The family will receive friends 1:00 – 3:00 PM, Thursday, November 18, 2021 at the church.
