Ronald Delbourne Knight

Mr. Ronald Delbourne Knight, 87, husband of Lydia Belle Mims Knight, passed away Friday, March 15, 2024, at Summerville Community Hospice House.  

Mr. Knight was born on January 2, 1937, in Florence, SC, son of the late Marion Hazel Knight and Arlene Lane Knight. He was a member of Camp Branch PH Church and was very involved in the church as a Sunday School Teacher and Deacon. He was a contractor salesman for Wickes, Builders Way and Shaw Lumber.  Mr. Knight attended Presbyterian College.

Surviving are his wife of 33 years, Lydia Belle Mims Knight, of Scranton; daughter, Renee Knight (Dennis) McKenna of Mt. Pleasant; sons, Kenneth Knight (Liz Diaz-Cobo) of Timmonsville and Mark Knight of Florence; grandchildren, Ryan McKenna of Mt. Pleasant, Rebekah McKenna of Mt. Pleasant, Jacob (Sabre) Knight of Florence and Jesse (Mary Jane) Knight of Scranton; children of Lydia Knight, Bobby (Stacy) Floyd of Scranton, Kim (Mike) Blakeley of Olanta and Amy (Jim) Hooten of Columbia; sisters, Myrna Hardy of Greer and Gail Knight (Bryan Carroll) of Salters; numerous nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Wayne Miles.

Mr. Knight was preceded in death by a grandson, Adam McKenna; brother, Marion Knight.

The family will receive friends from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM, Thursday, March 28, 2024, at Carolina Funeral Home, Scranton.

Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM, Thursday, March 28, 2024, at Carolina Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow at Bethany Cemetery, Timmonsville.
