Ronald Fredrick Jones, Sr.

Ronald Fredrick Jones, Sr., 82, husband of Pastor Becky Jones, died Sunday, January 2, 2022, at his residence, after an illness.

Mr. Jones was born on February 23, 1939, in Horry County, son of the late Alfred Matthew Jones and Hazel Irene Cooper Jones. He was a graduate of Aynor High School and retired from South Carolina International Pentecostal Holiness Church, where he was Property Manager. Mr. Jones was a veteran of the United States Navy and a member of New Covenant Pentecostal Holiness Church. 

Surviving is his wife of 45 years, Pastor Becky Gore Jones of Lake City; children, Pastor Ronald F. (Erin) Jones of Boynton Beach, FL, Peggie Lynn Jones of Lake City; grandchildren, Everett Jones, Stella Mae Jones, Grayson Jones and Amelia Jones, all of Boynton Beach, FL; siblings, Wayne (Jody) Jones of Hartsville, Linda (Robert) Cooper of Aynor, Mary Beth (Ranerson) Broach of Effingham and Rebecca (Wilton) Rabon of Conway; and his special, little, furry baby, Missy. 

Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his siblings, Bobby Alfred Jones and Iris Jones Martin.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Friday, January 7, 2022, at Lake City Pentecostal Holiness Church, Lake City. Burial to follow at New Covenant Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery, Turbeville, SC.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM, Thursday, January 6, 2022, at Carolina Funeral Home, Scranton, SC.

The family would like to thank Amedisys Hospice, Melissa Poston, who was an angel sent from God, and the members of New Covenant Pentecostal Holiness Church for their love and support during this time.
