Michael Odell “Bunky” Flowers, 47, husband of Kim Dennis Flowers, died Thursday, September 2, 2021, at MUSC Health Florence.
Bunky was born on February 27, 1974, in Williamsburg County, son of Mack Flowers and Valerie Miles Flowers. Mr. Flowers became an ordained minister in 1998 and served as the pastor at New Beginning Holiness Church. He was also the owner/operator for Bunky’s Pressure Washing. He was a devoted Christian man and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Surviving in addition to his wife of 31 years are his children; Brittany (Matthew) Clegg, Michaela Flowers, his favorite and Michael O. “Mikie” (Savannah) Flowers, II, all of Lake City; grandchildren, Kinley Clegg, Maggie Mae Clegg, Mackie Clegg and Emmie Grace Flowers (on the way); sister, Michelle (Vern) Burgess of Lake City; parents, Mack and Valerie M. Flowers of Lake City; mother-in-law, Joyce Dennis of Scranton; sister-in-law, Amy Powell (Corey) of Lake City; 3 nephews.
Mr. Flowers was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Delmus Dennis.
Funeral services will be 3:00 PM, Sunday, September 5, 2021, at New Beginning Holiness Church, Scranton with burial to follow at New Hope Christian Church, New Zion.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 3:00 PM at the church.
