Lizzie Miles Sauls, 77, wife of the late Cody Bert Sauls, died Tuesday, November 9, 2021, at McLeod Regional Medical Center, Florence.
Lizzie was born on September 4, 1944, in Florence County, daughter of the late Lillie Mae Miles and granddaughter of William Preston “Press” Miles and Esther Matthews Miles. She was a member of Camp Branch Pentecostal Holiness Church and Ladies Auxillary. Mrs. Sauls was a certified nursing assistant and dedicated, hardworking lady who worked a variety of jobs throughout her life. She loved baking at Christmas, working in her yard planting flowers, and loving on her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Surviving are her children, Wanda S. Miles of Sunset, Donnie E. (Kelly) Sauls of Lake City and Billy J. (Jessalynn) Sauls of Lake City; grandchildren, Brooks (James) Martin, Dana (Tyler) Epps, Brittany Sauls Bethea, Logan (Taylor) Sawyer, Dakota Sauls, Cody Sauls, Shaylee Barrineau, Garrett Sauls, Gracie Sauls and Wyatt Sauls; great grandchildren, Gayge Miles, Sawyer Martin, Waylon Epps, Weston Epps, Jayden Butler and Lacy Bethea; sisters, Elizabeth Tedder of Florence, Diana Brown of Lake City; brother, Jerry Miles of Scranton; special friend, Mitchell Blanton.
Mrs. Sauls was preceded in death by her brothers, William Miles, H.B. Miles and Randolph Miles; sister, Faye Matthews; grandson, Michael Sauls; special sister-in-laws, Iva Nell Miles and Rosa Nell Weaver.
Funeral services will be 12:00 PM, Friday, November 12, 2021, at Carolina Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow at Camp Branch Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Carolina Funeral Home.
