Legrand Miles

Mr. Herbert Legrand Miles, 78, husband of Grace McClam Miles, passed away Monday, April 8, 2024, at The Palms at Florence.

Mr. Miles was born on July 17, 1945, in Florence County, son of Lillie Wright Miles and the late Herbert Henry Miles. He was a member of Lake City First Baptist Church and formerly served as a deacon. Mr. Miles was a graduate of Francis Marion College and retired from W. Lee Flowers & Company, Inc. as Vice President of Operations.

Surviving are his wife, Grace McClam Miles of Florence; son, Brant (Melissa) Miles of Ham Lake, MN;  grandchildren, Julia Miles and Isabella Miles, all of Ham Lake, MN; daughter, Elizabeth Robinson of Florence; grandchildren, Tucker Robinson, Taylor Robinson and Dean Robinson, all of Florence; sister, Sara Miles (James) Baker of Hanahan; step daughter, Kristy (Clyde) Padgett of Florence; step grandchildren, Charlie Padgett, Gray Padgett and Jake Padgett, all of Florence; brothers in-law, Kenn (Tracy) McClam of Florence and Mac (Shell) McClam of Sandy Bay; along with several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Miles was preceded in death by his brother, Herbert Henry Miles, Jr; sisters, Dean Miles Pattillo and Teresa Miles Jones.

Memorial services will be 2:00 PM, Thursday, April 11, 2024, at Carolina Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
