James Larry Gaskins, 77, husband of Martha Gaskins, died Monday, October 11, 2021, at MUSC Health Center of Florence.
Mr. Gaskins was born on January 8, 1944 in Florence County, son of the late Courtney Gaskins and Nealie Stone Gaskins. He was a member of Prospect Pentecostal Holiness Church and was a retired painter.
Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Martha Parrott Gaskins of Johnsonville; children, James Courtney (Pamela) Gaskins of Johnsonville and Scarlett Gaskins (Brian) Gibbs of Pamplico; grandchildren, Kirstyn Gaskins of Johnsonville and Summer Gibbs of Pamplico; brother, Mayo Gaskins; sister-in-law, Jessie B. Gaskins.
Mr. Gaskins was preceded in death by his sisters, Baby Girl Gaskins, Audrey G. Ard, Edna G. Hartfield and Betty G. White; brothers, Frank Gaskins, Ettric Gaskins and Laverne Gaskins.
Funeral service will be 11:00 AM, Thursday, October 14, 2021, at Carolina Funeral Home Chapel, Scranton, with burial to follow at Lake Chapel Cemetery, Johnsonville.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 – 11:00 AM, Thursday, October 14, 2021, at Carolina Funeral Home Chapel, Scranton.
