Legrand Flowers, 74, husband of Betty McKenzie Flowers, died Friday, February 26, 2021 at McLeod Hospital.
Legrand was born October 31, 1946 in Florence, son of Eula Miles Flowers and the late Alfred Kenneth Flowers. Prior to his retirement, Legrand was an insurance agent. He never met a stranger and was eager to help those less fortunate. Legrand loved fishing and camping. He was affectionately known as "Bendaddy" to his grandchildren.
Surviving in addition to his mother of Coward, are his wife, Betty McKenzie Flowers of Florence; daughters, Laura Flowers (Kevin) Parks of Murrells Inlet and April Flowers Nesbitt of Mount Pleasant; grandson, Matthew Parks (Juliana Robinson) of North Charleston; granddaughter, Megan Parks of Murrells Inlet; sisters, Susan Flowers McAllister of Scranton and Lena Flowers Dietles of Social Circle, Ga; brother-in-law, Edward McKenzie of Lake City; sister-in-law, Diane Feagin of Lake City; brother, Ray Flowers of Coward; numerous nieces and nephews.
Legrand was preceded in death by his father Alfred Flowers.
Private Memorial service will be 2:00 PM, Sunday, February 28, 2021, at Carolina Funeral Home Chapel, Scranton.
