Keith Earl Pate

Keith Earl Pate, 63, died Saturday, January 14, 2023, at his home in Coward.

Keith was born on April 17, 1959, in Florence County, son of Josephine Lynch Pate Rogers and the late Earl Pate. He was a graduate of JC Lynch High School and was active in the family farm before his declining health. Keith was an avid Nascar fan, Dale Earnhardt, Sr. being his favorite and enjoyed collecting Nascar memorabilia.  He will be remembered for his quick wit and sense of humor.   

Surviving are his mother, Josephine Pate Rogers of Bishopville; brother, Joey (Marcie) Pate of Coward; nephew, Leland (Monica) Pate of Coward; three great nieces; and a number of cousins and extended family members.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a nephew, J.P Pate and several aunts and uncles.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Amedisys caregivers and staff and Regency Southern Care Hospice for their love and concern.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Monday, January 16, 2023, at Carolina Funeral Home Chapel, Scranton, with burial to follow at The Bible Temple, Garden of Rest Cemetery, Coward.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.
