Joseph Wesley "Joey" Pierce

Joseph W. "Joey" Pierce, 55, died Monday, February 8, 2021, at his residence, after an illness.

Joey was born on August 13, 1965 in Williamsburg County, son of Joseph H. "Jack" Pierce and the late Jackie Marie Sims Pierce. He was a graduate of Cades Hebron High school and was a truck driver. He enjoyed drag racing, fishing, and collecting hot wheels and knives.

Surviving in addition to his father, Joseph H. "Jack" Pierce of Lake City are his brothers, Thomas (Lori) Pierce and Chris (Teri) Pierce, both of Lake City; nephews, Brandon (Samantha) Pierce, Joshua (Erin) Pierce and Eric Roach; nieces, Amanda (Keith) Rabon, Danielle Pierce and Beth Roach; 4 great nephews and 2 great nieces; pets, Little Bit and Brutus.  

In addition to his mother, Joey was preceded in death by a sister, May Pierce.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM, Thursday, February 11, 2021, at Carolina Funeral Home, with burial to follow at Williamson Cemetery, Cades.

Family will receive friends 1 hour prior to service.
