Joey McDonald

Joseph "Joey" Arthur McDonald, 52, died Monday, January 11, 2021, at his residence.

Joey was born on May 1, 1968 in Florence County, son of Margaret Scurry McDonald and the late Samuel Arthur McDonald.

Surviving are his mother and stepfather, Margaret and John McKenzie, both of Lake City; brother, Charles "Chuck" (Cherie) McDonald of Florence; step sister, Rebecca (Keith) Morris of Lake City; step brother, Scott (Kim) McKenzie of Lake City; nephew, Joshua (Mariah) Helms of Florence; niece, Breanna (Adam) Muse of Timmonsville; uncles, Ernest (Shirley) Scurry of Turbeville, David (Tamara) Scurry  of Rembert and Randy (Becky) McDonald of Lake City; and his fur babies, Gizmo, Tigger and Ginger.

Joey was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Eddie and Kathryn Scurry; paternal grandparents, Mack and Marjorie McDonald; step paternal grandparents, Reverend F. B. and Eunice McKenzie.

Graveside service will be 3:00 PM, Friday, January 15, 2021, at Matthews Cemetery, Lake City.

The family will receive friends from 1:30 – 2:30 PM, Friday, January 15, 2021, at Carolina Funeral Home, Scranton.
