Joe Burris Earp, 80, died Saturday, June 25, 2022 at his residence in Lake City.
Joe was born on March 25, 1942, in Florence County, son of the late Woodrow Earp and Leola Hicks Earp Miles. He was a giver and never met a stranger. Joe enjoyed helping others and showing people how to grow a garden. He loved animals, especially his pet rooster and his sister’s dog, Rosie.
Surviving are his siblings, Mary McGee (Seby) of Coward, Gene Earp of Coward, Bobby Jean Evans of Kentucky and Ray “Buck” Earp of Florence; special brother-in-law, Seby Rhodarmer of Coward; special grandson, Chase Tucker of Lake City; several nieces and nephews.
Joe was preceded in death by a brother, Jessie William Earp.
A time of visitation for family and close friends will be 2:00 PM, Sunday, June 26, 2022 at Carolina Funeral Home, per Joe’s request there will be no services.
