Jimmy Bazen, 84, husband of the late Primmie Lee Creel Bazen, died Saturday, March 21, 2020, at his residence, after an illness.
Mr. Bazen was born on June 26, 1935 in Florence County, son of the late Gorie Liston Bazen and Lizzie Day Altman Bazen. He was a Veteran of the United States Army and a member of New Prospect Free Will Baptist Church. Mr. Bazen was a retired farmer, a Mason and a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.
Surviving are his children, David Ray (Gwen) Bazen and Brenda (Kevin) Calcutt, both of Pamplico and Cynthia Cagle of Johnsonville; grandchildren, Danielle Bazen (Lance) Cagle, David Chase Bazen, Morgan (Briana) Calcutt, all of Pamplico, Zachary Cagle and Anna Catherine Cagle, both of Johnsonville; great grandchildren, Addyson Lee Cagle, Caleb Michael Cagle, Laiklyn-Rae Bazen, Kaylee Jean Bazen and Macee Erwin; siblings, Barry (June) Bazen and Debra Lynn Bazen.
Mr. Bazen was preceded in death by a daughter, Cathy Ann Bazen; and his siblings, Eunia Bell Gaskins, Garlyn Bazen and Renell Hanna.
Private funeral services will be held at New Prospect Free Will Baptist Church, Pamplico.
Anyone wishing to view Mr. Bazen, may do so at New Prospect Free Will Baptist Church, from 5:00 – 8:00 PM, Monday, March 23, 2020. The family will not be present.
Graveside services will be 2:00 PM, Tuesday, March 24, 2020, at Bazen Family Cemetery, Hoyt Road, Pamplico.
