Jannie Mae Spring Floyd, 87, wife of the late Junior Joseph Floyd, died Tuesday, October 12, 2021, at her home.
Jannie was born on March 18, 1934, in Williamsburg County, daughter of the late Capers Ashby Spring and Margaret Beatrice Bennett Spring. She attended Hebron School and was a member of the Barrineau Pentecostal Holiness Church and served faithfully. Mrs. Floyd was a seamstress and for several years was a supervisor at Charleston Manufacturing; worked at Campbell Soup in Sumter, and Hebron Manufacturing. Jannie had a green thumb and was happiest when working in her yards. She was very proud of her family and friends.
Surviving include her three daughters, Karen Elaine Meyer of Charleston, Melodee (Randell) Barrineau of Turbeville and Melissa (Mike) Jacobs of Evans, GA; grandchildren, Kerri Belk, Brianna Jacobs, Maloree (Kim) Davis and Wesley (Jessica) Barrineau; great grandchildren, Cameron Burgess-Davis, London Davis, Nolan and Nora Layne Barrineau, Kyle and Kayla Belk; brother, Carroll (Queen) Spring; sisters, Shirley Carraway and Debbie (Bobby) Powell; step-grandsons, Josh and Chris Jacobs; many special nephews, nieces and cousins.
Mrs. Floyd was preceded in death by her grandson, Kevin Belk; brothers, Lindbergh Spring, Capers Ashby “Tottler” Spring, Jr., Lindell “Dunk” Spring, Calvin Spring and Ben Spring; sisters, Susie Mildred Spring and Annie Dell Carraway.
Funeral services will be 3:00 PM, Friday, October 15, 2021, at Barrineau Pentecostal Holiness Church, with burial to follow at the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 3:00 PM, Friday, October 15, 2021 at the church.
