James "Ricky" F. Barnhill

James F. “Ricky” Barnhill, 68, husband of Karen Welch Barnhill, died Sunday, October 10, 2021, at his residence.

Ricky was born on March 28, 1953, in Laurinburg, NC, son of Elsie McKenzie Spring and the late Walter Barnhill. Ricky was a 1971 graduate of East Clarendon High School and was a member of Horse Branch Free Will Baptist Church. He retired owner and operator of R&K Kartz and was an avid golfer.

Surviving in addition to his mother of Lake City, are his wife, Karen Welch Barnhill; brothers, Donald (Wendy) Barnhill of Turbeville and Robbie (Scarlett) Barnhill of Mountain City, TN; nieces and nephews, James Hunt, Robbie Thomas, Crystal Barnhill, Catherine Barnhill, Nathan Barnhill, Jerry Welch and Ronald Deal; close friend, Mike Cumbie; sister-in-law, Patsy Welch.

Ricky was preceded in death by a sister, Cynthia Hunt; niece, Misty Dawn Cooke; brother-in-law, Anthony Welch.

Funeral services will be 4:00 PM, Wednesday, October 13, 2021, at Horse Branch Free Will Baptist Church, Turbeville, with burial to follow at the church cemetery.   

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.   

In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to Agape Hospice, 1929 B. Mt. Laurel Court, Florence, SC 29501
