Mr. James Edward Perdue, 79, passed away Friday, March 29, 2024, at Lake City Scranton Healthcare.
Mr. Perdue was born on October 11, 1944, in Patrick, South Carolina, son of the late John Henry Perdue and Cora Lee Irby Perdue. He was a retired electrician, formerly working for Herring Electric, Crowder Construction, and LTM, before he became sick after multiple strokes. Mr. Perdue was a loving father, grandfather, brother, son, uncle and friend. He was an avid fisherman, artist, lover of Christ, and a fan of Elvis & George Jones.
Surviving are his children, Michelle Perdue (Chris) Deese and Scott Edward (Lisa) Perdue; grandchildren, V. Rowan, Ashley Rowan, Jaime Morgan Elmore, Heather Perdue (Austin) Nissley and Garrett Haynes; great grandchildren, Kenzie Nissley, Dayton Hall, Victor James Stephens, Mia Cheyanne Stephens and Victoria Roxanne Stephens; brothers, Curtis Perdue and John (Shirley) Perdue.
Mr. Perdue was preceded in death by a grandson, Joshua Glenn Stephens; siblings, Annie Lee Perdue, Howard Perdue, Beatrice Shephard, Lucille Harper, and Sylvia Eaddy; mother of his children and best friend, Wanda Perdue Martin.
Graveside services will be 3:00 PM, Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at Cedar Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, 1635 Cedar Creek Road, Hartsville, SC 29550.
