Harriett Russ Obituary

Harriett Matthews Russ, 78, wife of Willie "Tank" Russ, died Thursday, October 8, 2020, at Commander Nursing Center in Florence.

Mrs. Russ was born on March 3, 1942 in Florence County, daughter of the late Leroy Matthews and Hannah Miles Matthews.

Surviving are her husband, Willie "Tank" Russ; children, Kenneth L. "Kenny" (Sheila) Coward, Jr. and Tammy Coward; grandchildren, Redden Coward and Anna Coward; step daughter, Peggy Owens; step grandchildren, Nece Owens and Kim Owens; step great-grandchild, Stephanie Owens; and a number of extended family members.

Mrs. Russ was preceded in death by her siblings, Tommy Matthews, Isabelle Matthews Langston and Clifford Matthews.

Graveside services will be 11:00 AM, Friday, October 9, 2020, at Camp Branch Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery, Scranton.

Memorials may be made to Miracle League, c/o Florence County Recreation, 710 South Irby Street, Florence, SC 29501.
