Freddie C. Timmons

Freddie Columbus Timmons, 72, husband of Kate Floyd Timmons, died Thursday, May 19, 2022 at his residence in Scranton, S. C.

Freddie was born on July 29, 1949, in Florence County, son of the late Preston Timmons and Virginia Miller Timmons. Freddie was a graduate of McClenaghan High School; member of New Zion Baptist Church, where he served in many capacities; he retired from Seaboard Coastline Railroad and was a veteran of the United States Army and a member of Chapter 11 FD Roosevelt DAV, Florence.

Surviving in addition to his wife Kate of Scranton are his siblings; Patsy Miller of Florence, Jimmy (Dayle) Timmons of Tampa, Florida, Ann (Jim) Lee of Saluda, N.C., Brenda (John) Kelly of Lake City, Doris (Larry) Matthews of Florence, Ginger (John) Timmons of Tampa, Florida; a number of special nieces and nephews and his special poodle, Chole.

Freddie was preceded in death by brothers, Johnny Timmons and Kevin Timmons.

Graveside services with Military Honors will be at 4:00 PM, Sunday, May 22, 2022 at Lake City Memorial Park.
