Frances "Granny" Lane

Sarah Frances Price Lane, 96, wife of the late Harvey Anderson Lane, Sr., passed away, Monday, April 19, 2021, at her residence.

Mrs. Lane was born on August 18, 1924 in Gastonia, N.C, daughter of the late James Barney Price and Vashti Beauchamp Price.

Surviving are her daughter, Debra Ann (Dr. William Griggs) Lane, of Lake City; four sons, Harvey A. “Butch” Lane, Jr. Steven Michael (Vivian) Lane, Randy Warren Lane and Jody Darin (Nancy) Lane, all of Lake City; 11 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

Mrs. Lane was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Anderson Lane, Sr, a son Jeffery Paul Lane and a great grandson, Andrew Kip Stone.

Funeral services will be 3:00 PM, Wednesday, April 21, 2021, at Brown’s Chapel United Methodist Church, with burial in the church cemetery.

The viewing will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.

Visitation with the family will be held following the service at the residence of Granny Lane, 3167 Johnsonville Hwy, Lake City, SC 29560.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Agape Hospice and to all the care givers who gave such excellent care to “Granny”.
