Floyd Eugene Schleuger, 81, of Johnsonville, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, March 9, 2020.
Mr. Schleuger was born in Lime Springs, Iowa on August 10, 1938, to the late John L. and Pearl R. Schleuger.
Mr. Schleuger was retired from the United States Air Force, a retired Auctioneer, and the pastor of Liberty Baptist Church for the past 20 years. He was passionate about mission work and served on the mission field in Russia, China, and the Philippines.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 63 years, Bonnie Coker Schleuger; a son, John (Renee) Schleuger, and daughters, Kitty (Charles) Smith, Tammy (Robbie) Taylor, and Marla (Rodney) Wilkes. Also surviving are grandchildren, Julie, Alisha, Audrey, Emily, LeAnna, Ashton, Carson and seven great grandchildren. He has three surviving sisters, Alice Caldwell, Janis (Walt) Wood and Frances (William) Wood.
Floyd was also preceded in death by four brothers, Clarence, Johnny, Robert and Thomas Schleuger and two sisters, Elsie Miron and Helen Stanek.
Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM, with a memorial service following at 6:00 PM, Thursday, March 12, 2020, at Liberty Baptist Church, 2771 Huggins Road, Lake City, SC.
The family will have a private burial at the Florence National Cemetery.
