Eldren "Zeke" Lee McDaniel

Eldren “Zeke” Lee McDaniel, 77, husband of Joyce Osborne McDaniel, died Wednesday, May 26, 2021, at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence.

Mr. McDaniel was born on June 18, 1943 in Hemingway, son of the late William Lee “WL” McDaniel and Louise Hanlon McDaniel. Zeke worked for W. Lee Flowers for 24 years as Maintenance Supervisor and 24 years as a mechanic. Mr. McDaniel loved working with his hands, he could take a bucket of rust and make something out of it. Zeke loved his family, fishing and his two dogs, Angel and Pepper.

Surviving are his wife, Joyce Osborne McDaniel of Lake City; sons, Buck (Rose-Mary) McDaniel of Lake City and Jimmy (Stacey) McDaniel of Scranton; daughter, Danah (Donnie) Springs of Camden; brother, Billy Joe McDaniel of Tennessee; brother-in-law, Harold Tanner of Dillon; 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

Mr. McDaniel was preceded in death by his sisters, Linda Tanner and Patricia Collins.

The family would like to extend a “Thank You” to Dr. Toney Graham III and Lisa Castles, PA, Kindred Home Health, Beth, Marsha, Sarah, Lake City Hospital Nurses and McLeod Regional Medical Center Doctors and Nurses.

Graveside services will be 3:00 PM, Saturday, May 29, 2021 at Lake City Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM, Friday, May 28, 2021 at Carolina Funeral Home and at other times, at the residence.
