Easton Rhett Strickland, 2, went to be with Jesus, Sunday, January 3, 2021.
Easton was born on June 27, 2018 in Florence, SC, son of Justin Adam Strickland and Christina Nickcole Scott. He attended Kool Kids Academy. Easton was a typical little boy who enjoyed hunting and fishing with his family and loved playing with anything that had wheels.
Surviving are his Mom and Dad, Christina Nickcole Scott and Justin Adam Strickland of Lake City; maternal grandparents, Nickcole and LaRon Matthews of Lake City; paternal grandparents, Mark and Shelley Strickland of Scranton; maternal great grandmother, Dorothy "Sissy" Vick of Rockford, MI; maternal great grandfather, Linwood "Coot" Parker of Barrineau; paternal great grandmother, Frances Meredith of Darlington; uncles, Donnie John Matthews, II, and Hunter Elijah Matthews, both of Lake City and Allen (Tonya) Strickland of Timmonsville, Charles (Amy) McElveen of Olanta; nieces, Hayley Strickland, Kelsey Strickland and Abby Strickland, all of Timmonsville; cousin and best friend, Isaiah McElveen.
Easton was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Bruce Christopher Scott; maternal great grandfather, Arthur Desport Vick; maternal great grandparents, Donnie John and Faye Matthews; paternal great grandfathers, Gene McElveen and Larue Strickland; and paternal great grandmother, Jean Young.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, January 9, 2021, at Carolina Funeral Home Chapel, burial will follow at Matthews Cemetery, Lake City.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM, Friday, January 8, 2021, at Carolina Funeral Home, Scranton.
