Debe Matthews (Gaskins) Miles

Debe Gaskins Matthews Miles, 87, died Sunday, January 16, 2022, at her home in Pamplico, after an illness.

Mrs. Miles was born on June 24, 1934, in the Hannah Community, daughter of the late Beaufort Gaskins and Daisy Poston Gaskins. She was first married to the late James Matthews and then to the late Harold M. Miles.  Mrs. Debe attended Prospect United Methodist Church. She enjoyed baking bread, knitting, crocheting, and spending time with her family.

Surviving are her son, Wayne (Sherry) Matthews, of Pamplico; granddaughters, Dawn (Ricky) Ard of Greelyville and Shanna (Luke) Haselden of Coward; great grandchildren, Emileigh Ard, Matthew Haselden, Jackson Haselden; sisters, Clebe Eaddy and Trebe Gaskins. Mrs. Debe was also survived by step-children and step-grandchildren.

Mrs. Miles was preceded in death by brothers, Toby Gaskins, Pete Gaskins, Tony Gaskins and Tim Gaskins; sisters, Rebe G. Lyerly and Bebe G. Thompson.

Graveside services will be 1:00 PM, Tuesday, January 18, 2022, at Gaskins Cemetery, 4120 Cain Branch Circle, Pamplico, SC (Hannah Community).

The family will receive friends from 12:00 – 1:00 PM, Tuesday, January 18, 2022, prior to the service at the graveside.
