David C. Buddin

David Carlisle Buddin, 59, passed away on Monday, August 8, 2022. 

A native of Florence County, he was born on December 29, 1962, the son of the late David Hilton Buddin and Shirley Temple Sims Buddin.  He was a graduate of Lake City High School in 1981.  He did a variety of jobs throughout his life, but retired as an employee of the Citizens Bank where he worked as a courier.

Mr. Buddin loved hunting and fishing as well as watching sports.  He was an avid fan of the LA Rams and Clemson Football, but most of all, he was a diehard Atlanta Braves fan.  Often finding a way to watch all 162 games every year and more when they made the playoffs.  He enjoyed country music and going to concerts every chance he got.  He also liked cutting grass and always made sure his family’s vehicles were maintained and repaired when needed.  When his father passed away early in life, he stepped up and drove his little brother to every baseball/basketball practice and he never missed a single game.  He cared about the people in his life, had a very big heart, and was passionate when he believed in something.

Surviving is his brother, Jamie H. Buddin of Olanta and his sister, Sherry R. Buddin of Olanta.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 3:00 PM, Saturday, August 13, 2022 at Carolina Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be 3:00 PM, Saturday, August 13, 2022 at Carolina Funeral Home Chapel, Scranton with burial to follow at Thomas Cemetery, Olanta.
