On November 4th, 2023, Clifton Marshall Rodgers, slipped free from the mortal coil of this life. No longer tethered to his ailing body, so worn out from hard work, good times, and a full life. He slipped away into the ether, into a freedom he so longed for, he closed his eyes one last time. Then, he really woke up.
He is reunited now with his parents, John Benson and Lucille Rodgers, and returned to the embrace of his loving wife Linda Rodgers. He is home, wide awake. Surrounded by love: filled forever with peace and comfort.
Left behind to remember the best of him, are his daughters Erin (Daegan) Cupp and Mary (Adam) McClam. His grandchildren, Deacon Elmore, Sawyer Elmore, Reese Elmore, Lizzie Cupp, Autumn McClam, and Lucille McClam. His brothers Johnny Rodgers, David (Kaye) Rodgers, and his sweet sister Susan Rodgers White. He had many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. All who he loved dearly.
He was much more than the sum of the troubles he may have faced. He was kind, intelligent, inquisitive, funny, free-spirited, and creative. He was deeply loved by his family, and he loved them. He will be missed by all who loved him.
If you knew Cliff, if you loved or cared for him, please remember him at his best, that was who he really was.
Cliff is free now, he woke up.
There is nothing left here but love.
