Clayborn “Clay” Arnold Dennison, 56, died Sunday, June 13, 2021, at his residence.
Clay was born on April 25, 1965, in Jacksonville, NC, son of Rachel Smith Dennison and the late Marshall Dennison. Clay was a carpenter and a Jack of all Trades.
Surviving are his daughter, Cortney Dennison of Scranton; mother, Rachel Smith Dennison of Florence; siblings, Byron (Tammy) Dennison of Florence, Gwen Black of Myrtle Beach, Roberta (Brice) Floyd of Kingstree, Lori Dennison Timmons of Florence and Jackie (Joe) Mixon of Manning; nephews, Gene Black and Joseph Black, both of Myrtle Beach, Donnie Floyd and David Timmons, both of Florence, Lionel Mixon of Germany and Korey Mixon of Manning; nieces, Heather Floyd Johnson of Manning and Marsha Dennison of Florence.
Clay was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Sammy William Hamilton Smith & Ella Jane Mixon Smith; paternal grandparents, Russell Dennison & Letha Mae Bozarth Dennison and three baby brothers.
The family will receive visitors for the Memorial of Clayborn "Clay" Dennison at Lynches River County Park, Friday, July 16, 2021 from 1:00 – 4:30 PM.
