Charlie T. Collins, 63, husband of Libby Ammons Collins, died Monday, February 3, 2020, at Regency Hospital, Florence, following a brief illness.
Mr. Collins was born on May 2, 1956 in Florence County, son of the late Walter Collins and Lottie Collins. He was a retired carpenter and an avid outdoorsman. Charlie enjoyed fishing and was considered a jack of all trades. Charlie loved his family dearly and will be missed by all.
Surviving are his wife, Libby A. Collins of Scranton; daughters, Ashley Ammons (Jason) Evans of Darlington and Elizabeth Collins of Thomasville, AL; sons, Charlie (Mary Keith Hill) Collins, Jr. of Scranton and Troy (Megan) Ammons of New Hope; grandchildren, Madison Newton and Talen Ammons; sisters, Margaret (ML) Wise of Pamplico, Martha (Roger) Medlock of Mt. Pleasant and Betty Snead of Laurel Hill, NC; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mr. Collins was preceded in death by his sisters, Patricia Leroy, Joann Martin and Ruby Mims; and brothers, Kenneth Collins and Buddy Collins.
Funeral services will be 4:00 PM, Friday, February 7, 2020, at Faith Holiness Church, Scranton.
The family will receive friends from 3:00 – 4:00 PM on Friday at the church prior to the services.
