Charles E. Rogers

Charles E. "Ed" Rogers, Sr., 73, died Saturday, May 15, 2021 at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence, SC.

Funeral services will be 5:00 PM Monday, May 17, 2021 at Carolina Funeral Home Chapel in Scranton with burial to follow at Lake City Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.

Mr. Rogers was born March 1, 1948 in Florence County, a son of Genevieve Owens Rogers and the late Marvin E. Rogers.  He was a graduate of Lake City High School and Florence Darlington Technical College.  Mr. Charles was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Lake City and was a shipping clerk with W. Lee Flowers Company in Scranton.  He was an avid coin collector and enjoyed participating in car shows with his son and grandsons,

Surviving in addition to his mother of Lake City are his son, Charles E. (Leslie) Rogers, Jr. of Florence; grandsons, Harrison Bigham and Emerson Rogers both of Florence; sister, Janet R. (Rev. Edward) Coker of Lake City; niece, Amy (Gary) Taylor, great-nephew Tristan Taylor and great-niece Sydney Taylor all of Simpsonville.
