Mr. Carl W. Jordan, 89, of Scranton, husband of Shirley Lee Jordan, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Friday, March 24, 2023, surrounded by his family.
Mr. Jordan was born on August 9, 1933, in Scranton, son of the late S. Byrd Jordan and Janie Osborne Jordan. He was a member of Peace Free Will Baptist Church. Mr. Jordan retired from W. Lee Flowers & Company, Inc. as the Data Processing Manager. He was a very compassionate and giving person, who enjoyed working in his yards and meeting his friends at Hardee’s.
Surviving are his wife of 26 years, Shirley Lee Jordan of Scranton; daughters, Joan (Gene) Fulton of Irmo and Gail Shoultz of Greenville; grandchildren, Jonathan (Whitney) Shoultz of Greenville, Kathryn (Joey) Short of Greenville and Jordan Fulton of Irmo; great grandchildren, Mary Davis Shoultz, Poppy Shoultz, Ruthie Shoultz, Joseph Short and Lailee Short, all of Greenville; sister, Willie (Ed) Wood of Aurora, Colorado.
Mr. Jordan was preceded in death by his first wife, Eulalia Lowder Jordan; siblings, Louise Andrews, James Jordan, Wilbur Jordan, Ruth Driggers, Elbert Jordan, Lucille Huggins and Earl Jordan.
Funeral services will be 3:00 PM, Sunday, March 26, 2023, at Carolina Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow at Lake City Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends 1:30 – 3:00 PM, Sunday, March 26, 2023, at Carolina Funeral Home.
