Bud Stone

Landal Lavance "Bud" Stone, 72, husband of Connie Stone, died Tuesday, July 28, 2020, at Mcleod Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Stone was born February 12, 1948 in Florence County, SC, son of the late Joseph Lakco Stone and Gracie Addielee Stone Stone. Mr. Stone served in the US Army, was a member of Midway Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon for 44 years, was a member of Leo Masonic Lodge #310 and a member of Black Oak Hunting Club.

Surviving are his wife of 51 years, Connie Thompson Stone; children, Landis Stone (Brian) Tanner and Lacey Stone (Rev. Joshua) Balton, both of Hemingway; siblings, Eulene Robertson and Cherry Manus, both of Columbia, Joseph "Bunk" (Bonnie "Shug") Stone and Wayne "Bill" (Noonie) Stone, both of Johnsonville, Elevene (Herman "Bunn") Hanna and Mary Stone, both of Pamplico, Topsy (Gene) Turner of Andrews and Donna (Kevin) Morning of Evergreen; grandchildren, Bryton Tanner, Cole Tanner, Jada Balton and Stone Balton.

Mr. Stone was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Gene Stone.

Funeral service will be 5:00 PM, Thursday, July 30, 2020 at Midway Baptist Church. Burial, directed by Carolina Funeral Home, will follow at Midway Cemetery with Masonic Rites.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 5:00 PM, Thursday, July 30, 2020 at Midway Baptist Church, Hemingway.
