Billy Venson Bazen, 87, husband of Coyzetta Smith Bazen, died Sunday, September 25, 2022 at The Palms of Florence.
Mr. Bazen was born on May 7, 1935, in Hannah, son of the late Borie Bazen Sr. and Ruby Poston Bazen. Mr. Bazen was a Veteran of the United States Air Force. He was a member of Beulah Free Will Baptist Church, worked as an electrician with Fluor-Daniels Construction Company, and was a Mason.
Surviving in addition to his wife of 58 years, Coyzetta Smith Bazen, are his daughter, Kelly (Ordia) Brown of Atlanta GA; son, Kevin (Melissa) Bazen of Pamplico; grandchildren, Shaun Brown of Atlanta, GA, Jarod (Susie) Brown of St. Paul, MN, Jaron (Nyi) Brown of Cannon AFB, New Mexico, William “Will” Bazen of Lake City, and Evan Bazen of Pamplico; great grandson, Jayce Brown of Cannon AFB, New Mexico; siblings, Muriel Collins of Pamplico, Judy Strickland of Olanta, Randolph Bazen, Mary Hucks and Laverne “Speedy” (Pansy) Bazen, all of Pamplico.
Mr. Bazen was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Candance Bazen; grandson, Jerome Brown; siblings, Borie Bazen, Jr., Clara Mae Cribb, Wayne Bazen and Harold Bazen.
Funeral services will be 3:00 PM, Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at Beulah Free Will Baptist Church, Pamplico, with burial to follow at the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
