Betty Jo Stanton

Betty Jo Stanton, 53, wife of Brent Stanton of 30 years, died Wednesday,  January 5, 2022, at her residence.

Mrs. Stanton was born on December 25, 1968, in Timmonsville, daughter of the late Willie Joe Jeffords and Barbara Gean Prosser Waters. She attended Terrell’s Church of God of Prophecy. Mrs. Stanton loved and lived for her grandchildren, was outgoing, loved to cook and bake, was a strong person, one that always expressed love, a great friend and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary at her church.

Surviving are her husband, Brent Stanton of Cades; her son, Brandon (Melissa) Jeffords of Coward; daughters, Brittney (Chris) Stanton and Jessica Stanton both of Pamplico; step- daughter, Ashley Stanton of Garden City; step-son, Ryan (Suzanne) Stanton of Myrtle Beach; nine grandchildren; sister, Angelia (Ronnie) Carter of Effingham, brother, Porky (Brenda) Jeffords of Effingham; a number of nieces and nephews; and a special furry baby, “CoCo”.

Mrs. Stanton was preceded in death by her step-son, Dustin Stanton.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Sunday, January 9, 2022, at Carolina Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow at Shiloh Church of God of Prophecy Church Cemetery, Coward.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 PM, Sunday, January 9, 2022, at the funeral home prior to the services.
