Mrs. Betty Truluck Williamson, 92, wife of the late Bobby Williamson, passed away, Monday, November 13, 2023, at the home of her daughter and son-in-law in Lamar, South Carolina.
Mrs. Betty was born on May 28, 1931, in Olanta, daughter of the late Samuel Leo Truluck, Sr. and Violet Lorraine Hawkins Truluck. She was a member of Lake City First Baptist Church. Mrs. Betty worked in the Lake City School System for 12 years. She was a sweet, caring person who loved everyone, she was nana and a second mother to many. Mrs. Betty loved working with flowers and in the garden with her husband. After their retirement, they moved to the lake where they both enjoyed fishing and spending time together.
Surviving are daughters, Wanda (David) Williams of Wesley Chapel, Florida and Gloria (Marion) Amerson of Lamar; sons, Richard Williamson of Lake City and Robert Williamson of Palm Harbor, Florida; three grandchildren; two step grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; six step great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter.
Mrs. Betty was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Bobby Williamson; brother, Samuel Leo Truluck, Jr. and sister, Emily T. Idselis.
The family would like to thank the The Palms Physical Therapy Wing and Agape for their love and care of their mother.
A private service will be held at a later date.
