Betty (Gaskins) White

Betty Gaskins White, 87, wife of the late Lewis Stanley White, died Sunday, September 12, 2021, at Carolina Pines in Hartsville.

Mrs. White was born on July 2, 1934 in Florence County, daughter of the late Courtney Gaskins and Nealie Stone Gaskins. She attended Union Baptist Church.

Surviving are her children, Fairlyn W. (Charlie) Self of Hartsville and Jammie W. "Crickett" (Lyde) Poston of Pamplico; grandchildren, Tony Self, Stephanie E. Russell, Felicity S. (Jody) Thibodeau, Lauren E. Johnson, Nicole C. Poston, Katelyn P. (James) Robinson and Elizabeth C. Poston; great grandchildren, Evelyn Robinson, Grant Robinson, AJ Self, Eli Russell and Isabell Thibodeau; great great grandchild, Veronica Self; brothers, James Larry (Ann) Gaskins and Mayo Gaskins; and a sister-in-law, Jessie B. Gaskins.

Mrs. White was preceded in death by her sisters, Baby Girl Gaskins, Audrey G. Ard and Edna G. Hartfield; and brothers, Frank Gaskins, Ettric Gaskins and Laverne Gaskins.

Graveside service will be 11:00 AM, Monday, September 27, 2021, at Union Baptist Church Cemetery, Pamplico. 

Memorials may be made to Union Baptist Church Building Fund, 1101 West Highway 378, Pamplico, SC 29583.
