Betty Daniels Matthews, 84, widow of the late Robert L. Matthews, died Monday, May 2, 2022 in Monroe, NC.
Betty was born on December 3, 1937, in Williamsburg County, daughter of the late Colin Hartley Daniels and Launa Floyd Daniels. She attended Lee’s Tabernacle Pentecostal Holiness Church and Friendfield Pentecostal Holiness Church.
She is survived by her son, Robbie Lane (Nina) Matthews of Monroe, NC; grandson, Lane (Mandi) Matthews of Mt. Holly, NC; great grandson, Wyatt Matthews of Mt. Holly, NC; granddaughter, Jennifer (Brian) Helms of Monroe, NC; sisters, Angilene Lynch and Loretta Daniels, both of Lake City; special cousin, Roselyn Lee of N. Charleston; along with a number of nieces and nephews.
Betty was preceded in death by her brother, John M. Daniels and special cousin, Ray Floyd.
Funeral services will be 2:30 PM, Friday, May 6, 2022 at Carolina Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow at Camp Branch Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM, Thursday, May 5, 2022 at Carolina Funeral Home, 215 E. Hwy 378 Bypass, Scranton, SC 29591 and other times at Mrs. Betty’s home, 1648 Colin Road, Lake City, SC 29560.
