Bessie "Polly" Cook, 70, died Saturday, November 28, 2020, at her residence, after an illness.
Mrs. Cook was born on October 31, 1950 in Sumter County, daughter of the late Madison Coleman, Sr. and Leila Parnell Coleman. She attended Lee's Tabernacle and was a Home Health Aid.
Surviving are her, daughter, Dolly (Shawn) Lowder of Scranton; son, Randy Cook (Wanda) of Greer; granddaughters, Kelci Lowder of Scranton, Haley Cook of Jacksonville, FL and grandson, Tyler Cassell; great grandchildren, Harlow Calvy; siblings, Mary Price of Michigan, Bobby (Ruby) Coleman of Georgia, Angela Carter, Ramona (Ervin) Carraway and Betty Hickman, both of Olanta; and several special nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Cook was preceded in death by her siblings, MT Coleman, Uldine Springs, Ruby Prescott, Walt Coleman and Wyman Coleman; and special friend, Carl Springs.
Funeral services will be 3:00 PM, Sunday, December 6, 2020 at Carolina Funeral Home Chapel, (live streamed) with burial to follow at Lynchburg Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.
