Annie Bell (Pate) Langston

Annie Bell Pate Langston, 86, wife of the late Charles Douglas Langston, Sr., died Monday, April 19, 2021, at Commander Nursing Center, Florence.

Mrs. Langston was born on October 17, 1934 in Florence County, daughter of the late James Lewis "Jim" Pate and Ida McAllister Pate. She was a graduate of J. C. Lynch High School and a longtime member of Coward Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Surviving are her son, Charles Douglas "Chuck" Langston, Jr. of Coward; and grandson, Phillip Arren Douglas Langston of Florence; numerous nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Langston was preceded in death by her brothers, Reverend Luria Pate, Marion Pate and Jack W. "Buddy" Pate; and sisters, Marguerite Thompkins, Rosa Lee Miles, Rutina Powell, Eldera McGee and Evelee Prosser.

Graveside services will be 2:00 PM, Wednesday, April 21, 2021, at Coward Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends immediately following service at the cemetery.
