Willa Rea (Evans) Powers

Willa Rea Powers, 67, wife of the late Billy Powers, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, June 6, 2018, at her daughter's home.

Memorial services will be 2:00 PM, Saturday, June 9, 2018, at Carolina Funeral Home Chapel, Scranton.  The family will receive friends immediately following the service.

Willa Rea was born on June 20, 1950 in Clarendon County, daughter of the late Jessie Morrell Evans and Carrie Mae Floyd Evans.  She retired from Florence School District One. Willa Rea was a doting mother and grandmother.

Surviving are her daughter, Sheri (Steve) Filyaw of Cades; grandson, Cody Filyaw of Cades; and sister, Retha Mae McCutcheon of Effingham.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Jessie Evans and two sisters, Jane Boardwine and Bonnie Munn.
