Timothy R. "Timmy" Altman, 67, died Wednesday, August 8, 2018, at McLeod Regional Medical Center, Florence, after an illness.
Mr. Altman was born on May 14, 1951 in Williamsburg County, son of the late C H Altman and Pearl Thompson Altman. He was a graduate of Johnsonville High School, a member of Little Bethel Free Will Baptist Church and served in the South Carolina National Guard. Timmy was a service tech at H & S Oil Company, a member of Reel Crazy Bass Club and Winyah Bass Masters.
Surviving are his sisters, Mary Altman, Gwen Altman, Norma Altman and Penny Altman, all of Hemingway; brothers, Carl Altman of Hemingway and Gene Altman of Pendleton; a number of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews; and his extended family and friends that referred to him as "Uncle Timmy".
Mr. Altman was preceded in death by brothers, LeFay Altman and Randy L. Altman; and sister-in-law, Eugenia Altman.
Graveside service will be 5:00 PM, Saturday, August 11, 2018, at Eaddy-Ford Cemetery, Johnsonville.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 – 9:00 PM, Friday, August 10, 2018, at Carolina Funeral Home, Scranton.
