Tammy Eileen Hucks White, 58, wife of the late Charles Jennings White, passed away, Tuesday, January 23, 2018, at McLeod Hospice House, after an illness.
Memorial services will be 3:00 PM, Friday, January 26, 2018, at Carolina Funeral Home Chapel, Scranton. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
Tammy was born at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Hemingway on April 9, 1959, daughter of Frances Strickland Hucks Watkins and the late Herman Clifford Hucks. She was employed with Bethea Retirement Community and formerly with McLeod Regional Medical Center. Tammy loved flowers, animals, people, her family, but most importantly she loved God. She loved the residents of Bethea Retirement Community and took advantage of any opportunity to work over, especially after her husband passed away in 2015.
Surviving are her mother, Frances Watkins; her twin sister, Toni Elaine Hucks; nieces, Danielle (Danny) Moore, Brittany (Marcos) Reyes; great nieces, Haley Moore, Juliana and Mariana Reyes; great nephews, Caleb Moore, Gabriel and Jacob Reyes; and uncle, J. W. Strickland.
The family would like to thank the nurses and doctors at MUSC, Carolinas Hospital and McLeod Hospice House. A special thanks to Tammy's family at Bethea Retirement Community both staff and residents for their visits, prayers and love.
