Robert Conyers

Robert "Buddy" Conyers, 79, husband of the late Mary Elizabeth "Libby" Conyers, died Saturday, August 10, 2019, at McLeod Regional Medical Center, Florence.

Mr. Conyers was born on April 5, 1940 in Florence County, son of the late Robert Conyers and Lorene Springs Conyers Knight. He was a member of Coward P.H. Church and was the retired owner of Conyers Construction. Mr. Buddy enjoyed fishing.

Surviving are his daughter, Wendy (Jack) Morris of Lake City; sons, Barry (Jan) Conyers of Barrineau and Kent (Brenda) Miles of Coward; grandchildren, Phillip (Bryant) Conyers, Curt Conyers, Shane (Megan) Miles, Mercedes Miles, Jennifer Stokes and Lauren Morris; great grandchildren, Easton & Emery Miles, Matthew and Landen Beard, Jackson Feagin, Gracie Conyers and Leni Ard; and sister, Susan Bingham McCrea of Kingstree.

Mr. Conyers was preceded in death by brothers, Billy Conyers, Morrell Lynch, Leslie Knight and Jerry Knight.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Wednesday, August 14, 2019, at Coward Pentecostal Holiness Church, Coward. Burial, directed by Carolina Funeral Home, will follow at Coward Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM, Tuesday, August 13, 2019, at Carolina Funeral Home.
