Paul L. McElveen, 81, husband of Clara P. McElveen, died Sunday, March 31, 2019, at his home in Lake City, after an illness.
Graveside services will be 4:00 PM, Monday, April 1, 2019, at St. John Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery, Pamplico, directed by Carolina Funeral Home.
Mr. McElveen was born in Florence County on April 2, 1937, son of the late Billy D. McElveen and Louise Osborne McElveen. He was a member of St. John Free Will Baptist Church and retired from construction. Paul was an avid Clemson fan.
Surviving are his wife, Clara P. McElveen of Lake City; daughter, Rhonda (Timmy) Keefe of Lake City; son, Michael (Trish) McElveen of Lake City; grandchildren, Dane (Whitney) Keefe of Lake City, Bradley (Brooke) Keefe of Coward, Ryan (Pamela) McElveen, Casie (Tony) Jackson and Kevin (Christine) McElveen, all of Florence; thirteen great grandchildren; brother, Roy McElveen of Lake City; Frances McElveen of Lake City; and sister-in-law, Marilyn P. Anderson of Florence.
Mr. McElveen was preceded in death by brothers, David McElveen, G.P. Broad, and Thurmond Osborne and sister, Letha McElveen.
