Ola Mae Wilkes, 55, died Sunday, August 26, 2018 at Carolinas Hospital System, Florence.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Wednesday, August 29, 2018, at Carolina Funeral Home Chapel, Scranton, with burial to follow at Matthews Cemetery, Coward.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 – 9:00 PM, Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at Carolina Funeral Home, Scranton.
Mrs. Wilkes was born on November 11, 1962, in Florence County, daughter of the late David A. Christmas and Dorothy Nell Floyd Christmas. She was a graduate of Lake City High School and attended Williamsburg Technical College. Mrs. Wilkes was a CNA at Johnsonville Adult Day Care Service.
Surviving are her husband Richard Allen "Hippy" Howell of Johnsonville; children, Jason Lamar Kirby and April Sierra Kirby, both of Coward, Erica Darlene Howell, Thomas A. Howell and Christopher R. Howell, all of Johnsonville; grandchildren, Andrew Eufracio, Bricen Howell, Kristopher Howell, Ava Howell, Ethan Kirby, Katie Kirby, Emerson Stone, Kryslyn Howell, Lexie Howell, Liza Welch, Kymber Howell, Jase Kirby, Peyton Howell, Auna Howell, MaKayla Fenters, McKenna Fenters, Noah Welch, Emma Creel and Kristopher Stone; sisters, Roberta Daniels and Ann Culick, both of Scranton, Runnette (Jimmy) Feagin of Kingstree, Dale (Marion) Hayes of Socastee, Joyce (Leon) Sanders of Darlington, Kathy (LeGree) Welch of Turbeville and Wanda (Elbert) Stewart of Lake City; brothers, Ralph (Diane) Christmas of Turbeville, Tim (Mary Ann) Floyd of Florence and Bobby (Willa Lee) Floyd of Kingstree; and her furry friend, Sugar Baby.
Mrs. Wilkes was preceded in death by sisters, Ethel Ellen "Peggy" Mims, Annie Ruth Fields and Thadglen Wilkes; brothers, V. J. Floyd and Homer Floyd.
