Nelson Evans

Mr. Nelson Daniels Evans, 68, died Sunday, November 26, 2017, at his home.

Graveside services will be 11:00 AM, Wednesday, November 29, 2017, Salem Cemetery, Pamplico.

Nelson was born July 18, 1949, in Florence County, son of the late Winfred L. Evans and Julia Daniels Evans.  He was a graduate of Hannah Pamplico High School and attended Florence-Darlington Technical College. Nelson was a former employee of Carolina Sand Company, a Mason and a Shriner. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force.

Surviving are his daughters, Julie E. (Ashley) Creel of Mt. Pleasant and Ellen E. (Geoffrey) Evans of Johnsonville; grandchildren, Molly Creel, Meredith Creel and Ellie Jewel Brockway; brothers, Jerry (Nelva) Evans of Florence and Wayne Evans of Johnsonville; sister,Teresa (Matt) MacGillivray of Columbia, and a number of nieces and nephews.
