Mildred C. "Millie" McClam, 84, wife of the late Jackson Belvin McClam, died Saturday, November 17, 2018, at her daughter's residence.
Funeral services will be 3:00 PM, Tuesday, November 20, 2018, at Carolina Funeral Home Chapel, Scranton, with burial to follow at New Hope Christian Church Cemetery, New Zion.
The family will receive friends 2:00 – 3:00 PM, Tuesday, November 20, 2018, at the funeral home prior to the service.
Mrs. McClam was born April 11, 1934, in Florence County, daughter of the late Harvey Hutto and Leola Smith Hutto. She was a retired seamstress and enjoyed gardening and flowers. Mrs. McClam was member of Terrell's Church of God of Prophecy and the Terrell's Ladies Auxiliary. Her greatest love in life was her faith in God, church time, family and her grands and great grands and making people laugh.
Surviving are daughters, Dianne (Jack) Bell of Jacksonville, FL, Carolyn (John) Washell of Lakeland, FL, Robin Barfield and Pam (Joe) Powell, both of Cades; sons, William Stanton of Murrells Inlet, Brent (Betty) Stanton of Cades; sister, Joyce Hutto of Lake City; brother, Ray (Bobbie) Hutto of Santee; seventeen grandchildren and twenty-four great-grandchildren
Mrs. McClam was preceded in death by a son, Ricky Stanton; sisters, Bobbie Lee Feagin and Mary Von Hannford; brothers, William Hutto and Jimmy Hutto.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Homeland Hospice and special nieces, Jennie Miles, Tami Culick and grandson, Chris Powell.
